Army man bites Ooty Ex-councillor
On Saturday night, the feud erupted again between Kannan and other members of the public that grew into a verbal confrontation.
Ooty: It was neither the proverbial dog bit man, nor an instance of the scribe's credo for news- man bit dog. It turned out to be a strange case of a man being bitten by an irate Army personnel, which resulted in damage to the ring finger of an ex-councillor of a panchayat that created flutters in the hills.
Police sources at Wellington said that there had been a feud between one Kannan (34), a soldier attached to the Madras Regimental Centre at Wellington, and the residents at Bharat Nagar in Bearhatti village limits bordering the cantonment, over parking of vehicle near houses there.

Angered at this, Kannan bit the ring finger of one Johnson, an ex-councillor in Bearhatti panchayat. The bite was so deep that the upper portion of the finger of Johnson was cut-off and needed immediate medical attention.
