State police chief Loknath Behera appreciates, cautions ADGP on assault probe

Mr. Behera who earlier reviewed the probe also said in the letter that the probe was progressing in the right direction.

Thiruvananthapuram: State police chief Loknath Behera has sent a letter to ADGP South-zone B. Sandhya appreciating the ongoing probe into the actor abduction and rape case and advised her to ensure good coordination with the special investigation team probing the case. In contradiction with the stand of his predecessor T.P. Senkumar, Mr. Behera maintained in the letter that there had been perfect coordination in the probe so far and IG Dinendra Kashyap did not complain of lack of coordination, it is learnt.

Mr. Behera’s letter was in response to a reply given by Ms. Sandhya to a letter of Mr. Senkumar on the last day in office citing lack of coordination with Mr Kashyap, especially regarding the 13-hour quizzing of actor Dileep and his friend actor-director Nadirsha. Mr. Behera who earlier reviewed the probe also said in the letter that the probe was progressing in the right direction.
