CM Pinarayi Vijayan's statement in assembly is misleading: BJP
CM had said in the Assembly on Monday that BJP triggered political violence to deflect attention from medical college scam.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan termed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's statement on the floor of the Assembly as misleading. He asked if there was an intelligence report against the BJP, what action did the CM and his government take. CM had said in the Assembly on Monday that BJP triggered political violence to deflect attention from medical college scam.
The BJP leader alleged that the Left government had not taken any step to bring the violence under control in the state capital. "The so called intelligence report is fake. I am keen to know what action the government has taken to bring the violence under control. CM is trying to make the intelligence report as a weapon," he said. He blamed the police for a negative approach to political violence and said since peace has become a distant dream, there is a need for peace talks. "Immediately after the peace talks, there has been political violence in Kottayam. Police should take stringent action," he added.
