TIRUPATI: In anticipation of the significant surge in devotees expected to attend the twin Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara Swamy, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) authorities have decided to allocate rooms and cottages exclusively to self-donors. This change in accommodation policy will apply solely to the donor-based accommodation system and will not affect the regular room allocations to common devotees, the temple administration clarified.

The Twin Brahmotsavams are scheduled to take place from September 18 to 26 and October 15 to 23 at the sacred Tirumala temple. To ensure an organized distribution of accommodations during these auspicious occasions, the TTD has urged all donors to book their room and cottage requirements in advance through the official TTD website.

The TTD has also outlined specific exemptions during the Garuda Seva, scheduled for September 22. It said that no special allocations will be made to donors from September 20 to 22. Similarly, during the Navaratri Brahmotsavam, observed from October 15 to 23, there will be no privileged allotments to donors from October 17 to 19 due to the Garuda Seva scheduled for October 19.

The TTD also clarified the allocation rules for donors during the twin Brahmotsavams period. It stated that the devotees who have donated for more than two rooms will be allocated two rooms for two two days when they visit themselves. Similarly, donors who have contributed for only one room will receive one room or cottage for two days.

Additionally, as part of preparations for the Salakatla Brahmotsavams, the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam is set to take place on September 12. In connection with this event, the TTD has taken the decision to cancel the VIP break darshan on September 12. As a result, no recommendation letters for VIP break darshan will be accepted on September 11. This restriction will also be in effect from September 14 to September 16.
