Clarify VIP kin postings, BJP tells Pinarayi Vijayan
During the four month regime of the CPM only sons, daughters and relatives of the party leaders and ministers had secured appointments.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP on Friday asked chief minster Pinarayi Vijayan to clarify whether the appointments of the kith and kin of CPM leaders including ministers were carried out with his knowledge. At a press conference here, BJP spokesman M. S. Kumar said if the chief minister was not informed about these appointments then he should sack Industries minster E.P. Jayarajan for keeping the government and the party in the dark. The CPM which came to power with the promise of lifting recruitment ban had now proved that it was meant for providing plum positions to the relatives.
During the four month regime of the CPM only sons, daughters and relatives of the party leaders and ministers had secured appointments. On the other hand lakhs of unemployed youth were knocking at the doors of PSC. CPM leadership should realise that the government was not party's ancestral property and if it took three years to oust Oommen Chandy government, the present government would be thrown out in five months.
