The Union Minister G Kishan Reddy would flag-off the four trains whose routes have been extended to more places in two Telugu states. The flag off programme would be held at Platform No 10 in Secunderabad on October 9.

Kishan Reddy took initiative to improve rail connectivity for the convenience of railway passengers of the Telugu states. Railway projects worth thousands of crore are in various stages of implementation and the Ministry of Railways is leaving no stone unturned towards fast-tracking capital expenditure projects such as new railway lines, doubling, tripling and electrification in the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

As a part of this initiative, the Ministry of Railways approved the extension of four more trains on the request of Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER G Kishan Reddy. Union Minister would physically flag-off the train from Kazipet to Hadapsar (Pune) from Secunderabad Station and will also virtually flag-off the Kurnool-Jaipur, Bodhan-Karimnagar, Raichur-Nanded trains.

Indian Railways has taken a decision to extend the destinations of various trains travelling through Telangana state in order to make railway services more accessible to the passengers by expanding the number of trains running through the respective regions. The  train services shall provide additional travel facility to the people of Telangana and will have direct train facility to the farthest destinations.

The people of Kazipet will have direct and convenient night travel facility to travel upto Pune. The people of Shadnagar, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal and Kurnool city will have direct and convenient travel facility towards Jaipur direction. Similarly, the people around Sedam, Chittapur, Yadgir and Raichur of Karnataka will now be able to travel to Nanded direction with this extended train service. The people of Bodhan will now be provided with direct train service to Karimnagar and back.

The Karimnagar - Nizamabad - Bodhan passenger special will be run during the day time and will consist of Second General class coaches.  The remaining train services which are being operated to farther destinations will cater to the needs of all segments of the people like reserved and unreserved segments consisting of  AC classes, sleeper class and Second General class. This avoids the hardship of changing the train at the nearest junction station for the rail users and they can directly travel to their desired destinations.
