APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University probes question paper leak
The question paper was circulated to the students saying that it was a model question paper.
Thiruvananthapuram: APJ Abdul Kalam University has started an inquiry into WhatsApp messages alleging that the applied electromagnetic theory paper of the electronic and communication students was leaked. The WhatsApp messages alleged that one teacher of an engineering college had circulated the question paper through WhatsApp. The examination for the paper was held on December 5. The allegation was that one teacher of a self financing engineering college in Karunagapally had supplied the question paper to his students two days in advance. The question paper was circulated to the students saying that it was a model question paper.
The university pro Vice-Chancellor M. Abdul Rahman told Deccan Chronicle that he sought an inquiry by Controller of Examinations S. Shabu into the issue once it was brought to the notice of the university on Wednesday. It has become clear that there were no lapses on the part of the university. The controller of examinations was asked to submit the report in 24 hours. The examination will be cancelled if it was found that the question paper was leaked, Mr Rahman said. Strict legal action will be initiated against anyone who was found guilty, Mr Rahman added.
