Delights of Tamil Nadu showcased in Berlin

Chennai: The marvels of Tamil Nadu have been showcased at the International Tourism Bourse, being held at Berlin in Germany, with a view to attracting global travelers to the State that have much to offer on various fronts from culture to history to tradition to culinary delights.

State Minister K Ramachandran, who inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Tourism pavilion at the bourse, released a pictorial brochure in German highlighting all the important places of interest in the State, which had emerged as the top tourist destination due to the efforts of Chief Minister M K Stalin, an official press release said.

Tourism that took a beating after the onset of the pandemic in 2020 had now revived and more people were showing interest in visiting Tamil Nadu particularly after the conduct of the Chess Olympiad in 2022, the release said.

On its part, the TTDC offered a wide range of facilities for the tourists starting from its chain of restaurants that go by the name Amudham and snack bars called Quick Bites to hotels, in conducting tours, planning itineraries for visitors, operating tourist bus services and so on.

The inauguration of the Tamil Nadu pavilion was marked by an enchanting Bhratanatyam performance and the bourse has stalls for tour operators, hotel and restaurant owners and others in the industry who could help international tourists plan their trips to Tamil Nadu.
