VRAs to resume stir
HYDERABAD: Losing patience after a six-month wait for the state government to honour its promises to fulfill their demands, VRAs have started their protests again. The first of them was a maha padayatra from Munugode to Yadadri, which began on Wednesday. This will be followed by a huge public meeting at Yadadri on March 12.
At the height of the protests in September, the government assured to fulfill their demands and asked them to withdraw their protests in view of the Munugode by-election.
“After the elections, they did not even look into our problems, forget solving our long pending issues,” said R. Vijay of VRA Hakkula Sadhana Samithi.
The government under the guise of resolving their issues forced them to withdraw the protest only to cheat them later, alleged most VRAs.
