Temperature in Kerala to soar in coming days, says IMD
The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority have issued sunburn and sunstroke alert in the state.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: High-temperature alert will continue in the state till Wednesday with the Indian Metrology Department (IMD) predicting 3 to 4-degree rise in normal temperature in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Alappuzha districts. IMD has predicted 2 to 3 degree rise above average normal temperatures at Kollam, Patha-namthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram , Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargode.
The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority have issued sunburn and sunstroke alert in the state. On Monday 23 heat rash cases and 16 sunburn cases were reported in the state. The Autho-rity has issued an advisory against going out in the direct sun from 11 am to 3 pm. Meanwhile, IMD has also predicted light intensity isolated rainfall across the state till Friday.
