CCTV's to check reservoirs in Hyderabad

All the 56 reservoirs will be under surveillance check.

Hyderabad:The metro water board authorities set up 56 CCTV cameras to keep an eye on leakages, mixing of harmful chemicals, if any and staff functioning at reservoirs under construction in the peripheral areas of the city. The cameras at the sites currently monitor the progress of construction. 

After the completion of the projects, the surveillance system will help keep a check on the functionality of the staff and the water stored in the tanks. All the 56 reservoirs will be under surveillance check.

M. Dana Kishore,  Managing Director, HMWSSB said, “The reservoirs are part of the new pipeline network project being built at a cost of Rs 1,900 crore under the HUDCO-aided Water Supply Improvement and Distribution Network in peripheral municipal circles. Agencies have been instructed to expedite and complete the works as per time schedules. The  concerned Board engineers have been instructed to  monitor the progress of works.
