K T Jaleel stand on triple talaq irks Muslim Youth League
The state conference will conclude on November 12.
Kozhikode: Muslim Youth League (MYL) state president P.M. Sadiqali said that it was shocking to see that Minister K.T. Jaleeel supported the views of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other union ministers in banning triple talaq. He was addressing the media ahead of the state conference here.
“The stance of the LDF is similar to that of the earlier move by EMS against the Sharia. This is the time to resist the Sangh Parivar agenda for uniform civil code and against Sharia laws. Jaleel is the only minister who supported the views of Modi and other union ministers. Triple talaq cannot be banned by law,” he said. Sadiqali added that the uniform civil code campaign was aimed at destroying the Dalit-Muslim harmony.
The state conference would be inaugurated by Sadiqali on Wednesday evening at the beach and on Thursday, the delegates’ conference would be held at Tagore centenary hall. The state conference will conclude on November 12. The press conference was also attended by state general secretary C.K. Subair, treasurer KM Abdul Gafoor, vice-president CPA Azees and secretaries KT Abdurahman and MA Samad.
