ACB raids eight locations as part of probe into Rs 30 cr scam in civil supplies

NELLORE: ACB sleuths conducted raids at eight locations here on Wednesday in connection with Rs 30 crore scam in the district manager’s office of Civil Supplies Corporation, Nellore, as the case had been handed over to ACB a few days ago.

A team of ACB led by DSP G.R.R. Mohan went to conduct searches in the house of S. Siva Kumar, computer operator and the prime accused in the misappropriation of funds at Dhanalakshmipuram.

As the family members are not at home, they were found waiting for their return. In other places, they examined several documents and seized them. ACB is paying special attention to the properties belonging to Siva Kumar at Dhanalakshmipuram near Nellore and Kovur, sources said.

From 6 am on Wednesday, the teams searched the homes of officials and non-officials involved in the scam.
