Oldest Manginapudi Beach to be Developed

Vijayawada: One of the oldest beaches of Machilipatnam, the Manginapudi, would be developed under which the Krishna district authorities are preparing an action plan.

Krishna district collector P. Raja Babu said that the administration would strive for the development of the beach soon. He said that for the development of a tourist place, officials should prepare an action plan.

He further said that toilets would be constructed at the beach to facilitate dress changing for both the men and women with a nominal fee and the collected amount will be used for the maintenance of the toilets.

Raja Babu added that parking places would be developed and based on the types of vehicles, parking fees would be collected and the amount would be spent for the beach development.

He underlined the importance of arranging CCTV cameras from the entrance of the beach and instructed the police to be vigilant and prevent illegal activities in and around the beach area.

He said that under the Swachh Bharat, the beach should be cleaned every week and create awareness among students regarding clean and green.
