Hyderabad: A 35-year-old driver, unable to meet his children's school fees, died by suicide in Adibatla on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Karre Mahesh residing at Patelguda, under the Adibatla police station limits.

According to law enforcement officials, Mahesh had been married to Ashwani for the past 11 years, and the couple had two sons, 9-year-old Karre Ruthwik and 6-year-old Karre Pranay Kumar, both enrolled at Nalanda School in Bongulur Adibatla. Mahesh had been employed as a bus driver for Nalanda School for a decade, but his salary proved insufficient to cover his children's school fees. Consequently, for the last three months, his sons were unable to attend school.

In an attempt to augment his income, Mahesh left his job at the school six months ago and purchased an autorickshaw. However, facing financial difficulties, he was unable to settle the pending school fees, leading to frequent quarrels between Mahesh and Ashwini. Ashwini had insisted that Mahesh pay the overdue fees so that their children could resume attending school.

The police have registered a case of suspicious death under Section 174 of the CrPC and are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mahesh's tragic demise.
