CPI state leaders say since Kanhaiah enjoys support of people cutting across political affiliations and ideologies, the party was making all-effort to bring people belonging to various sections of society for the meeting. “We don’t want to brand him as the leader of a particular political party. His appeal crosses ideological boundaries and that should remain ,” said C Divakaran who is contesting from Nedumangad constituency.

The CPI leader had earlier stated that he would try to bring Kanhaiah to the constituency for campaigning.  Though the JNUSU president will not be campaigning for LDF candidates during his visit to the state, CPI leaders say his speeches will convey the message to voters.
