14,641 paid property tax on Monday

Hyderabad: As many as 14,641 people paid property tax of Rs 8.70 crore on Monday. Of these, 6,367 payments were made online and an amount of Rs 3.75 crores was collected. Nearly 7,024 people made payments through the citizen service centres resulting in a collection of Rs 4.20 crore. 

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) collected Rs 26.34 crore in last three days under the early bird scheme with more than 41,090 citizens availing the five per cent discount offered for property tax paid till April 30, said a statement

GHMC commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy has urged citizens to avail the early bird offer and make payments either online or through the e-seva, meeseva centers. The scheme is limited to citizens who have been punctual in payment of property tax and do not have any dues left.
