TruJet denies boarding for J C Diwakar Reddy
Other airlines such as SpiceJet, GoAir, Jet Airways, Air India and Vistara listed the MP on their No Fly' list.
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam MP from Anantapur, J.C. Diwakar Reddy was stopped from boarding a TruJet flight on Sunday morning at the Shamshabad Airport. Last month, the MP had created a ruckus at Visakhapatnam airport after he was denied a boarding pass on an IndiGo flight because he had checked in late. After the incident, the airline approached the Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA) to ban Mr Reddy.
Other airlines such as SpiceJet, GoAir, Jet Airways, Air India and Vistara listed the MP on their ‘No Fly’ list. The MP, who returned after a two-week vacation abroad, booked a TruJet ticket to travel to Vijayawada on Sunday morning. The flight was scheduled to leave at 5.30 am, and Mr Reddy reached the airport before 2 am and got his boarding pass from the GMR staff. But TruJet would not allow him to travel because he was on their 'No Fly' list. After failing to convince the staff, Mr Diwakar Reddy left for Vijayawada by road.
