Bandla Ganesh considering film on Seethakka's life
WARANGAL: Tollywood film producer Bandla Ganesh on Sunday tweeted that he was considering producing a film on Congress Mulugu MLA Danasari Anasuya, better known as Seethakka. He was responding to a tweet by her supporter after he greeted the former Maoist leader on her birthday.
Reacting to Ganesh’s greetings tweet, Seethakka’s followers said the Telugu
films, Adavilo Anna of Mohan Babu, depicting the struggle of forest dwellers
against the administration, and Leader, the story of a chief minister fighting against the corrupt system, would sum up Seethakka’s life story. He requested Ganesh to produce a movie on Seethakka. Ganesh said he would consider the suggestion.
Seethakka left the Maoists in 1997, joined mainstream politics in 2004 and was twice elected MLA, the first time in 2009 on a TD ticket and then with the Congress ticket in 2018. She recently completed her PhD in political science in 2022 from Osmania University.
Congress leaders, led by Mulugu DCC president Paidakula Ashok Patel, celebrated Seethakka’s birthday on Sunday. An annadanam programme was held on the occasion.
