VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) is setting up a middle-class income group (MIG) Jagananna Smart Township on a stretch of 40.78 acres at Nuzvid in the Eluru district.

APCRDA commissioner Vivek Yadav said the construction of permanent houses for middle-income families has been started with approval from the AP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (APRERA).

Vivek Yadav said this is done at an estimated cost of Rs 26.88 crore near Mango Research Centre. As many as 393 plots are available. Of these, 10 per cent plots were reserved for government employees and five per cent plots for retired government employees.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy desired to give a 20 per cent rebate to government employees on the total price. After discussions with the Eluru district collector Prasanna Venkatesh, APCRDA finalised the rate for each square yard  at Rs 8,500.

Some 119 plots of 150 square yards, 121 plots of 200 square yards and 153 plots of 240 square yards are ready for sale.

The commissioner said the state government would provide a simple installment system for middle-class families to purchase these plots. They may book their plot by paying 10 per cent of the plot value. Applications can be sent from July 10 to August 19. They can log on to https://migapdtcp.ap.gov.in   for more details.

The APCRDA will scrutinise all applications and conduct a lottery to select beneficiaries. After this, the CRDA will hand over the allotment certificate to the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries should complete the agreement process after allotment of the plot within a month. All installments should be completed in a year. After that, APCRD would register the plots in the name of the beneficiaries.

There would be internal roads, water reservoir, RO water plant, street lights, park and other facilities. The APCRDA would arrange loan facilities through SBI and ICICI banks.
