CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the party had not finalised its nominees and reports appearing are part of a conscious attempt by people interested in weakening the advantage the LDF enjoyed.

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the party was happy with the performance of the Pinarayi Vijayan government. When asked whether the party had evaluated the performance of the LDF Government, the CPM state secretary said the time had not yet come for evaluation.

“The government has not even completed three months in office. But it has done more work than what UDF could do in its first three years. Let us give some more time to the Government and perhaps after one year in office one can have proper evaluation,” he added.

On the state secretary being pushed to the background after the LDF government came to power, Kodiyeri said that it was also an answer to those who used to allege “cell rule” and remote controlled rule from AKG Centre. “Now you know that the party does not interfere with the day to day activities of the government,” he added.
