HM spokesperson murder: Custody ends for Saddam
The CBCID special team police recently arrested 27-year-old Saddam from Karumathampatty in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: The prime accused in the murder of Hindu Munnani (HM) spokesperson Sasi Kumar, was produced before a local court here on Wednesday, after five days police custody period was over.
The CBCID special team police recently arrested 27-year-old Saddam from Karumathampatty in Coimbatore.
Saddam is alleged to be one among the four assailants who murdered Sasi Kumar near his house on September 22 last year.
Saddam was first produced before the court of CJM Shri. Madurasekaran on Aug 2. Meanwhile, on August 3, police applied to the court and took Saddam for five days police custody for further investigations.
As his custody came to an end on Wednesday evening, he was before the JM-1 court magistrate Shri. Nambirajan and sent for remand to the Coimbatore central prison.
