Don't spread rumours about Jayalalithaa: Venkaiah Naidu
Mr Venkaiah, who also holds the Information and Broadcasting portfolio, said he visited the hospital and found that the treatment is going on.
Chennai: Averring that Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa is responding to treatment (at the Apollo Hospital here, where she was admitted on September 22) BJP senior and Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu has appealed to the political leaders and public not to spread rumours or speculate about her health condition.
“Treatment is going on and there has been improvement (in her condition). It is not fair on the part of anyone to speculate or spread rumours about her health condition. We should see that we all maintain a balance and also restraint while making comments,” he said emerging out of the hospital after visiting the CM on Sunday evening.
Mr Venkaiah, who also holds the Information and Broadcasting portfolio, said he visited the hospital and found that the treatment is going on.
Earlier, he was briefed in detail by the doctors at the hospital and they had told him that she was responding to the treatment. “I am confident she will recover soon,” Mr Venkaiah said and added that he was keeping track of the medical bulletin being released regularly by the hospital authorities. He also expressed the hope that the CM would become normal and return to work.
