Kerala: Thirty BDS seats vacant after counselling
Believers Church Medical College, Thiruvalla filled all six vacant MBBS seats of which five were in general merit through the common counselling.
Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 30 BDS seats remained vacant after the allotments through the common counselling process concluded on October 7. However, there were no vacant MBBS seats except 150 seats in Kannur Medical College and 100 seats in Karuna Medical College against which the commissioner for entrance examinations was planning to submit a report as they did not submit the admissions details. Believers Church Medical College, Thiruvalla filled all six vacant MBBS seats of which five were in general merit through the common counselling.
The vacant BDS seats included 17 in Amritha Dental College, Kochi, 11 in Century Dental College, Kasargod one seat each in Educare dental college, Chettiparamba,.Malappuram and Royal dental college, Palakkad. As many nine dental colleges Amrita Dental College, Sree Anjeneya Institute, Azeezia Dental College, Century Institute, Educare Institute, Kannur Dental College, Pariyaram Dental College, Mar Baselious Dental College, MES Dental College, PSM Dental College and Royal Dental College had reported 129 seats vacant before the council.
Out of these, 60 seats were in the general merit category. Apart from dental colleges, KMCT Medical College, Kozhikode filled 150 MBBS seats during the counselling. Academy of Medical sciences, Pariyaram and SR Medical College, Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram filled their lone seat each in the general merit quota for MBBS were also filled through the common counselling.
