Sri Pada Yellampalli Project oustees get relief package cheques
WARANGAL: The government on Thursday handed over cheques under the relief and rehabilitation package to 350 oustees of Sri Pada Yellampalli Project (SPYP). Welfare minister Koppula Eshwar handed over the cheques, totalling Rs. 14.64 crore (Rs 3 lakh per person) at a programme held at Mukatraopet village of Velgatoor mandal in Jagtial district.
The package was given to affected people of Makkatrao village, from whom lands were acquired following the issuance of GO 20.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will do justice to people from different walks of society, and is striving hard for the welfare of all. He said the relief and rehabilitation package was given to those above 18 years of age and belongs to the affected village.
“There are still some beneficiaries who are awaiting allotment. There is a delay in some cases due to technical issues. The same will be resolved very soon,” Eshwar assured.
After receiving approval from the cabinet, the Chief Minister has taken this initiative, he added.
