Vivekananda Centre at MCRHRDIT Likely to be CM Camp Office
Hyderabad: The Vivekananda Centre for Human Excellence (VCHE) at the Dr Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute of Telangana (MCR-HRDIT) on Road No. 25 in Jubilee Hills might soon be developed into the camp office of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
On Sunday, Revanth Reddy visited the institute where Dr Shashank Goel, MCR-HRDIT director-general and special chief secretary, gave a power-point presentation on the facilities available on the premises. Reddy interacted with faculty members and enquired about the activities and training imparted at the institute.
After visiting various blocks housing classrooms, conference hall, auditorium and computer lab, among other facilities on a solar-powered vehicle, he asked officials of roads and buildings (R&B) department to explore the possibilities of developing Vivekananda Centre into his camp office.
“It’s an idea mooted by the Chief Minister. We will collect necessary information from MCR-HRDIT officials and prepare a blueprint for the Chief Minister’s approval,” a senior official of the R&B department said.
One more advantage with the premises is that the Chief Minister and secretaries can avail the video conference hall and auditorium to interact with officials during review meetings.
“We will inspect the premises once again, and also focus equally on space available for parking,” another official said.
He said the move was also aimed at avoiding traffic problems during the movement of Reddy’s convoy in the city.
Panchayat raj and rural development minister D. Anasuya (Seethaka) and officials were present on the occasion.
