SC/ST Case Filed Over Spat

Kurnool: A seemingly trivial dispute over dust escalated into an alleged hate crime in Kurnool's Lakshminagar on Tuesday.

Sugali Lakshmi Devi, while sweeping her porch, unintentionally scattered dust onto the neighbouring house of Besta Sujatha. What followed was a barrage of caste-based slurs, physical assault with a stick, and obscene language hurled by Sujatha and her husband, Besta Srinivasulu.

Undeterred, Lakshmi Devi sought medical attention at the GGH and later filed an SC/ST Act complaint against the couple. Kurnool Three Town Police registered the case and are actively investigating.
