Kurnool: Union minister of state for health Prof. Satya Pal Singh Baghel said 25 lakh houses have been sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with funds for toilets also being provided by the central government.

He highlighted the impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme in Nandavaram and Holagunda mandals on Wednesday.

Satya Pal underlined that direct benefit transfer scheme has benefited 4.5 crore people. Ayushman Bharat provides coverage up to ₹5 lakh for families in case of illness. 12 crore people are availing facilities under the Kisan Samriddhi Yojana nationwide. Further, schemes like Mudra loans, PM Kisan and initiatives under Jal Jeevan Mission are integral to the central government's efforts in improving the lives of people.

The union minister inspected the Kisan drone at the animal husbandry stall. He oversaw distribution of free gas connections to registered beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme.

Adoni sub-collector Shiv Narayan Sharma, zilla parishad CEO Nasara Reddy, village sarpanches from Nandavaram and Gajjehalli, BJP leaders and district-level officials were present.
