TIRUPATI: Chandragiri legislator Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has said development works of Rs 430 crore have been undertaken in his constituency and “no other segment in the state, including Kuppam, has seen such progress.”

Addressing a public meeting held in support of the party’s graduate MLC candidate Pernati Shyam Prasad Reddy at Thondavada in Chandragiri on Friday, the YSRC MLA claimed that every panchayat in his constituency had been given at least Rs 2.50 crore for development. This apart, Pelli Kanuka worth Rs 34,000 was being presented to each couple while getting married.

Earlier, youths participated in a bike rally and attended the public meeting addressed by MPs Mithun Reddy and Reddeppa, Tirupati rural MPP Mohith Reddy and others.

In response to Telugu Desam national general secretary Nara Lokesh's charges, MP Mithun stated that Lokesh was not stating what the TD would do for the people, “other than making some baseless allegations that welfare schemes being implemented by the YSRC government would be discontinued.”
