Kerala: Accused in ATM theft case sent to cop custody
Considering custody application, the court sent accused to police custody.
ALAPPUZHA: Suresh Kumar, an accused arrested in connection with ATM theft case by the special investigation team (SIT) was sent to ten-day police custody by Judicial First class Magistrate Court on Saturday. M Sudhilal, Sub Inspector, Chengannur, said that the accused was produced before the court in the morning. Considering custody application, the court sent accused to police custody. He is being interrogated.
"More details could be revealed only after the interrogation," he said. It was on Friday the SIT brought Suresh 37, of Idayileveetil House, Pennookkara, Chengannur from New Delhi. Suresh along with prime accused Aslup Khan, a head constable of Delhi police, looted Rs 3.69 lakh from SBI's ATM at Cheriyanad on April 25.
