Hyderabad: The Federation of Northeastern Colonies of Secunderabad  has decided to plant sap-lings in potholes on major roads in Sainikpuri. The citizens expect to attract the attention of the GHMC through this mode of protest.

Mr Suniel Kumar, FNCS treasurer, said major roads like the one connecting Sainikpuri crossroads with Nirmalnagar crossroads and the High Tension Line road which connects nearly 19 colonies were riddled with potholes.

“Some potholes are as wide as 2-3 feet. These roads do not just result in damage to vehicles but are even life threatening, especially for two wheeler riders.” he said. He said senior citizens were keen to participate in the protest; the date and time would be decided soon.
