HYDERABAD: A group of 150 Group-2 exam aspirants on Thursday filed a petition with the Telangana High Court, seeking directions to the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to reschedule or postpone the exam scheduled for August 29 and 30.

The aspirants submitted to the court that there were already many other state-level and central competitive examinations scheduled for August and September, and alleged that the TSPSC failed to consider them while issuing the online examination schedule for nine notifications.

Elaborating on the schedule, they stated that the Staff Nurse Exam was held on August 2 and Development AO Exam was held on August 8. Going forward, Gurukula Teacher Exam is being held from August 1-23, Polytechnic and Junior Lecturer Exam from September 2-20, they said, listing out state-level exams.

Further, central examinations of SSC-CHSL (Tier 1) are being held from August 2-22, IBPS/RRB PET from August 17-22 and IBPS/RRB preliminaries till August 18.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy took to Twitter to say that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao paid no heed to unemployed youth for nine years and is putting jobseekers to test without giving them enough time to prepare. “I hope the government takes a positive decision on the demand of lakhs of people by postponing the Group II exams," he said.

The petitioners said that the TSPSC did not consider their representation to postpone the examination.
