The last date for remitting the fees and joining the college is January 22

Thiruvananthapuram: The  admission supervisory committee headed by Justice J.M. James has asked the   medical colleges to admit students in the NRI and management quota seats only from the NEET list as per merit. The committee has modified the revised schedule for the first round  of admissions to MBBS course in self-financing medical colleges to enable students to get the bank guarantee.  The revised date of counselling and admissions of students who have been allotted to colleges in the first round is September 17. The last date  for remitting fees and joining college is January 22.

The revised schedule  was published because students who submitted applications for MBBS courses and their parents had complained about the non-availability of sufficient working days to get the bank guarantee  in view of Onam holidays. The last date for submitting applications to the medical colleges ended on Friday. The  colleges were also asked to publish the list of the details of applications received on Saturday. The committee would look into the complaints later.
