Kiran Bedi thanks Pondicherry CM as she completes 100 days in office

Ms Bedi also congratulated the government for conducting a very productive' budget session.

Puducherry: Spelling out the modus of functioning of Raj Nivas and the outcomes of the various initiatives, Lt Governor Kiran Bedi, who completed 100 days in office, on Saturday complimented the Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy and his cabinet colleagues for giving ‘right kind of political leadership’ to the state.

Ms Bedi also congratulated the government for conducting a ‘very productive’ budget session. Addressing a press conference here, Ms Bedi said Puducherry is going through a wonderful period with a government which is alive to people’s thinking and feelings.

“We have got a good leadership and the ball is in the court of people. Now they have to come forward,” said Ms Bedi. On her earlier threat to leave Puducherry due to lack of support, Ms Bedi said she is getting excellent co-operation. She cited the presence of chief secretary in the press conference as an example for the cooperation she receives.

An official press release explaining the mode of functioning of Raj Nivas said week day activities of the Lt Governor starts with video conferencing connecting all four regions of the Union Territory followed by departmental presentations or review of functioning of important departments.

Post lunch session is marked by meetings with public, organizations and NGOs. Sundays and Saturdays are earmarked for field visits of the Lt Governor.
