CID DG\'s wife killed in Rajasthan road mishap

Hyderabad: Director General of Police (CID) Govind Singh suffered injuries while his wife Sheela Singh succumbed after the vehicle in which they were travelling overturned in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

The accident took place around 2.45 pm on Monday when they were returning to Ramgarh after performing puja at the famed Tanot Mata temple. The driver of their vehicle (RJ15 UA 2312) lost control and the car overturned, police sources said.

A BSF ambulance rushed them to CHC hospital in Ramgarh. Dr Alok declared Sheela Singh dead, while the condition of the driver remains and Govind is in stable condition.

Director General of Police M. Mahendar Reddy expressed deep shock at the demise of Sheela Singh and wished for the speedy recovery of Govind Singh.
