Kurnool MP promises to provide equipment for digital education
Kurnool: Kurnool MP Dr S Sanjeev Kumar stressed the necessity of incorporating digital education in schools to facilitate advanced learning for today's students and assured to provide the required digital equipment for schools within five months, utilising funds from the MPLADS.
Participating in the celebrations of Minority Welfare Day and National Education Day at the Zilla Parishad Assembly Hall held on the occasion of birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on Saturday, Dr Sanjeev Kumar explained the critical role of digital education in schools. Highlighting the state government's commitment to education, the MP mentioned that welfare schemes like Amma Vodi, Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jagannana Vasati Deevena, which collectively invest an average of Rs 90,000 per student a year. He lauded Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who introduced the educational reforms during his tenure as Union Education Minister, for revamping the education sector.
City mayor B.Y. Ramaiah commended the Chief Minister's efforts in promoting quality education by implementing various schemes and ensuring students receive nutritious meals in schools.
Further, Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, Nandyal MLA, highlighted Azad's post-independence focus on diverse fields, including education for rural and female populations, adult literacy, free universal primary education, secondary education and vocational training. He also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Maulana Azad along with municipal chairperson Mabunnisa at the Collectorate. He credited the YSR government for establishing 18 municipal schools in Nandyal town and prioritising public schools over private ones, providing comprehensive facilities for students. District revenue officer Pullaiah, municipal chairperson Mabunnisa and senior officials participated.
