Hyderabad: Nine startups were selected by T-Hub and Facebook for the maiden India Innovation Hub three-month cohort. The initiative, launched in November 2017, was designed to help startups focus on using emerging technologies like virtual reality (VR) by providing support and mentorship to accelerate their businesses in novel ways.

Two of the nine were from Hyderabad - Loop Reality and Merxius Software. The others were Dimension NXG, GMETRI Studios, Highir Technologies, Innov4Sight Health and Biomedical Systems, Parallel XR, Scapic Innovations and VadR.

The nine were shortlisted from 20 applicants and would get access to training, mentors, workshops, research and Facebook’s VR Innovation lab located at T-Hub as a part of the three-month accelerator programme.

T-Hub CEO Jay Krishnan said, “We have witnessed the recent growth of AR and VR and it has the potential to disrupt many areas. Our programme with Facebook has discovered startups leveraging AR and VR technologies in such areas like healthcare, HR and enterprises training, enriching customer experience and enterprise analytics.”
