Hyderabad: The Southern States Judicial Officers Conference which recently concluded here resolved to demand that the Centre and the state governments do not include the judicial officers in the country in the new contributory pension scheme.

The judicial officers from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh who had met here resolved to submit a comprehensive report to the Judicial Officers Second Pay Commission headed by Justice P. Venkat Ramreddi after collecting the opinions of all judicial officers in the country with regard to pay revision, pension schemes and service conditions.

The conference has unanimously elected Mr Varaprasad , 14th additional district judge of Ranga Reddy district and president of Telangana Judicial Officers Association, as a representative of the Southern State Judicial Officers to participate in All India Judicial Officers Conferences and meetings on behalf of all southern states.
