Six die in car-lorry collision in EG district

Kakinada: Six persons, including three women and an eight-month-old baby, died and two others were seriously injured in a road accident on the national highway near Ananthapalli village of Nallajerla mandal of East Godavari district.

According to the police, eight persons of Prakash Nagar in Rajamahendravaram went to Hyderabad to attend a function. While they were returning by car, their vehicle hit a stationary lorry beside the road on Sunday night.

Six persons died on the spot and the remaining two persons were admitted in Government Hospital at Rajamahendravaram out of which the condition of one injured is critical.

Kovvuru DSP Varma said that a case was registered by Nallajarla police and that they are investigating.
