Spreading of Islamophobia should be curbed, says SDPI
SDPI Secretary Hameed Saleem also spoke to the media persons here.
KOZHIKODE: “Public should be vigil about the attempts of some vested groups who are spreading the concept of Islamophobia, the prejudice against Islam, especially as a political force using the recent controversies over IS links in Kerala,” opined the members of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).
Government should take serious initiative to know about the missing youths from different parts of the state and bring facts before the public, they added. The members of SDPI were talking to the media persons here on Monday at Calicut Press Club. A media trial should not be implemented here before the state investigation team draws a conclusion on the missing of these youngsters thereby creating an atmosphere of fear, they said.
Noted religious preacher Zakir Naik was one such victim of this media trial, said SDPI General Secretary Saddique Ulliyil. SDPI Secretary Hameed Saleem also spoke to the media persons here.
