KCR to inaugurate temple, moseque and church in new Secretariat on Aug 25

 Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will inaugurate a temple, mosque and church in the new Secretariat premises on August 25. They replace the Nalla Pochamma temple and two mosques that were demolished when the old secretariat was brought down in 2020.

Following protests at that time, the CM had promised to build a temple, a mosque and a church in new Secretariat premises. He finalised the date at a review meeting here on Tuesday.

A media statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Tuesday said the date was finalised after consulting religious heads.

The CM will re-open the temple by installing the Nalla Pochamma idol in the presence of priests by following Hindu traditions.The CM will inaugurate the mosque and church in accordance with Islamic and Christian practices.
