Telangana HC asks govt to provide details of flood victims

HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court on Friday directed the state government to furnish the details of how many persons it had identified as victims of the floods that occurred in the last week of July. The court also directed the government to submit the details of families to whom it paid ₹4 lakh ex gratia, on the ground that their family members had died in the floods.

The court also directed the government to explain the special measure taken in flood-affected areas to prevent the spread of diseases, on August 17.
