CS Jawahar Reddy instructs officials to speedup ports and airport construction works
Jawahar Reddy instructed the officials to expedite land acquisition process and ensure that all the clearances are obtained at the earliest
Vijayawada: Chief Secretary to the Andhra Pradesh government Dr K.S. Jawahar Reddy on Monday instructed officials to speedup the construction of ports and airports in the state to meet the scheduled deadlines. He reviewed the progress of the works at a meeting with officials of the respective departments at the State Secretariat in Velagapudi.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the construction works of Ramapatnam, Machilipatnam, Kakinada Gateway Port, Moolapet Port, and Bhogapuram International Airport. He also reviewed the land acquisition and clearances that are pending for these projects.
Jawahar Reddy instructed the officials to expedite the land acquisition process and ensure that all the clearances are obtained at the earliest. He also asked them to work in coordination with the respective district collectors to ensure that the projects are completed on time.
The Chief Secretary said that the ports and airports are important infrastructure projects that will boost the economic development of the state. He asked the officials to make all efforts to complete the construction works within the stipulated time frame.
The meeting was attended by State Industries and Commerce Secretary N. Yuvraj, AP Maritime Board CEO K. Praveen Kumar, Additional CCLA AMd Imtiaz, AP Maritime Board Deputy CEO Ravindranath Reddy, and collectors of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Krishna, and Nellore districts.
