T P Senkumar not joining as housing chief
Mr. Senkumar went on leave subsequent to his ouster from the state police chief post in May.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With former state police chief T.P. Senkumar refusing to take over as Kerala Police Housing Construction Corporation (KPHCC) chairman and managing director, the state government has given additional charge of the post to IG Balram Kumar Upadhyay. Though the state government earlier issued orders granting apex scale for IPS officers in the state to Mr. Senkumar as per a directive of the Central Administrative Tribunal, he had pointed out technical flaws in the order and even sought clarifications from the account general.
He had also approached the court seeking rectification of the anomaly. As Senkumar still continues to be on leave, Mr. Upadhyay, who is holding the post of IG Crime Branch, has been given the full additional charge of KPHCC chairman and managing director. Mr. Senkumar went on leave subsequent to his ouster from the state police chief post in May.
