Ms. Rajakumari said that criminals would be suppressed with iron hand.
RAJAHMUNDRY: The Rajahmundry Urban Superintendent of Police B. Rajakumari advised women to make use of the services of ‘SHE’ teams, in case they were facing hardships because of any anti-social elements.
The Rajahmundry Central Zone police organised a ‘cordon search’ in Rajendranagar in the early hours of Sunday. Additional Superintendent of Police R. Gangadhar Rao, Central Zone DSP J. Kulasekhar, Special Branch DSP B. Ramakrishna, Circle Inspectors M. Ravindra, Ch. Ramakoteswara Rao, SK Bajilal, B. Sai Ramesh and others were split into 12 teams which conducted the ‘search’.
They searched every house and recorded the details of the residents. Ms. Rajakumari said that criminals would be suppressed with iron hand. There will be cordon searches made in the city and its outskirts.
She said that three suspicious people and three rowdy sheeters were taken in custody while 56 two wheelers and an auto were seized due to lack of proper certificates for the vehicles.
She said that criminals activities were observed to be high in the area and the youth are getting attracted to bad habits. This leads to the development of criminal nature among them. She suggested that the people of the area should come out and report if they find suspicious or unknown persons in the area to the police.
