MLA Ramesh Babu vows to develop Rajanna temple
Steps were also being taken for various developmental works of Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple at a cost of Rs 30 crore
VEMULAWADA: The Telangana government was committed to the comprehensive development of the famous Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple along with Vemulawada town, said local MLA Chennamneni Ramesh Babu after inspecting various developmental works which are in progress in the town on Saturday.
Ramesh Babu said with an investment of Rs 5 crore, steps were being taken for supplying water for 24 hours in the guest rooms by laying pipelines under Mission Bhagiratha project and to make available water in Dharmagundam of the temple along with filling the Gudi Cheruvu with water through lift system so that the water was available for 365 days to fulfil the drinking water needs of the Vemulawada people.
Steps were also being taken for various developmental works of Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple at a cost of Rs 30 crore along with the Baddi Pochamma temple, he added.
Due to some technical issues, the road laying works of the bypass road in Vemulawada town was delayed, but by resolving the issues, the works were taken up and would be completed soon, he said and suggested the officials to construct culverts while laying the road without causing problems to the drainage system.
With Rs 20 crore funds released recently by the state government, the construction of an integrated market in Shyamakunta would be taken up soon along with construction of a double road in the town at a cost of Rs 125 crore. Notification was also released for the construction of a new bus stand, he informed.
Municipal chairperson R. Madhavi, R&B officials Shantaiah and Satish, market committee chairman G. Hanumandlu, TRS councillors Ajay, M. Kumar, N. Shekar, co-option member Babun, TRS leaders P. Raju, Kranthi and K. Kanakaiah were among those who were present along with others.
