Karnataka CM opens pilgrims’ accommodation at Srisailam
Anantapur: Karnataka Chief Minister Basava Raj Bommai on Friday inaugurated the Nitya Annadana Mandiram of Basaveshwara Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhak with 400 rooms for accommodating devotees visiting the Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bramarambika Temple at Srisailam in Nandyal district.
The Karnataka CM arrived at the temple accompanied by former chief minister B.S. Yeddiurappa, ministers Govind Karjol and Murgesh Nirnani and MLAs Veeranna, Shivaraj Patil, Siddu Shivaji and S.S. Patil. They were received by AP finance minister Bugga Rajendranath Reddy, Nandyal MP Pocha Brahmananda Reddy, MLA Silpa Chakrapani Reddy, Nandyal collector Manajeer Zilani and SP K. Raghuveera Reddy.
Later, Bommai and his team participated in the Rashtreeya Dharma Jagruthi Maha Sammelan at the temple town. Srisaila Jagduru Chenna Siddarama Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, Ujjayini and Kasi pontiff Prabhusarangadeva Swamiji, Jagruthi Sammelan members Jagadish and Basaiah were present at the Maha Sammelan.
Srisailam temple priest offered the VIPs a traditional welcome. Temple trust chairman R. Chakrapani Reddy and executive officer S. Lavanna presented prasadam and shesha vastram to the Karnataka CM and other dignitaries.
