Hyderabad: In a setback to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, its corporators at the Bandlaguda Jagir Municipal Corporation moved no-confidence motion (NCM) against their party chairman Burra Mahender Goud.

The corporation has 22 corporators and 16 signed the proposal and submitted it to Rangareddy collector K.Shashanka on Friday.

In the elections held in January 2020, the BRS won 13 seats, Congress five, BJP two, AIMIM and an independent one each.

Most BRS corporators have now decided to join the Congress which is now set to bag the corporation. This follows the change in political equations after the Congress won the recent Assembly elections.
