Telangana Free RTC bus travel: Women quarrel over sharing seat
Witnessing the ruckus, the bus conductor tried to calm down the women and bring back normalcy but the latter remained reluctant
Adilabad: The Congress government’s promise to provide free bus travel to women in RTC services has led to outrageous scenes in a state-sponsored bus service in Mudhole, Nirmal district of Telangana. The women turned violent and began pulling each other’s hair during a dispute over sharing a seat in the bus.
Witnessing the ruckus, the bus conductor tried to calm down the women and bring back normalcy but the latter remained reluctant and continued with their quarrel, which even led to delay in the bus timing. The driver stopped the bus for some time to let the situation come under control and moved ahead only after the women calmed down.
Sensing the success of the free RTC bus travel for women, a promise made by the Congress in Karnataka and Telangana, the YSRC government also is mulling to introduce such service in Andhra Pradesh.
