Adventure junkies make the most of Trail School-2023 held in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Fears were conquered when Royal Enfiled, in collaboration with CEAT Tyres conducted ‘Trail School-2023’ event at Big Rock Dirt Park at Donthapally on the outskirts of Hyderabad to help adventure enthusiasts learn the basics of off-road motorcycling.
Over 30 riders on their Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles joined the training from various places such as Odisha, Warangal and Visakhapatnam to build their off-roading skills, here on Sunday.
Teaching the nuances of off-roading were experts at Big Rock - Suhas KS and Ashok George, while Gautham Menon from Royal Enfield, who led the project gave valuable insights to riders.
The trail event provided the adventure enthusiasts with an opportunity to learn from the experts how to handle difficult terrains while riding. Trainers Suhas and Ashok taught riders skills of saddling, emergency braking, leaning, dodging and tackling obstacles off the tarmac. Riders were also taught the importance of appropriate safety gear.
All the riders were certified by Royal Enfield after completion of training and clearing the trail successfully.
Speaking after the trail event, Gautham Menon of Royal Enfield said that the response from Hyderabad has exceeded his expectations, showing how the enthusiasm of motorcycling has increased by leaps and bounds over the years.
Trainers Suhas and Ashok were all praise for the batch of riders who took part in the Trail School -2023 and said that the enthusiasm shown by the participants to learn from them was heartwarming.
“This batch of riders has surprised me. Though there are beginners and first-timers in this batch, they have taken all the challenges thrown at them with so much grit and perseverance that I will count them amongst the best we have trained so far,” said trainer Ashok George.
